"Well, you've obviously never seen me dance. Most women laugh at the more...feral aspects of my physique, but all melt like freshly churned butter before my fiery footwork!" the half-orc clapped Gwen lightly on the shoulder and pursed his lips, noticing the red-head scanning the corridor once more. "You should not be so tense. Being aware is fine, but you...eh. Nevermind. What I wanted to ask in the first place, was would you be interested in a sort of alliance?" Sek lowered his voice and moved closer to Gwendolyn.

"I've a sneaking suspicion that, should one of our fellows not, our employer has designs on our lives. Not to say I don't trust the duke...wait. No. That's exactly what I mean." Sek took a step back on the off chance that his next words would provoke the young night-walker. "I also do not trust you, but you seem like the most aware person here. Hence, the most dangerous in the long run. I can stomp out a marauding swordsman avatar-of-death-wannabe, and elude the spells of a mage, but cunning has always gotten the better of me." Sek shrugged and extended his hand. "I won't run you through if you don't stab me. And, I might even send a bit of cover fire your way when needed. Deal?"

Sek found that he actually liked the girl's attitude. It was rare that he found humans so indifferent with regards to his...heritage. Most people viewed his hybridization as an abomination, something unintended to walk the natural world. This could be attributed to the shocking number of half-orcs born dead, but more likely could be traced back to the orc-human wars that ended less than a century ago.

Realizing he had fallen into a looser, less prepared walk, Sek righted himself andraised his heels. It was a good thing to, as the duke Hellion had come to a halt and was staring at... "By the Brute God's Bleeding Blade."

Professional adventuring had allowed Sek to see much(at least he liked to think so) of the world, but the being below the floor was something completely alien. He had seen sea-giants and subterranean titans, even fomorean hulks, but this creature did not register with any of the many monster logs Sek had read during his career. It's eerie beauty was captivating, in a disturbing sort of way, and Sek found himself looking at the area of it's face where eyes would have been. The next course of action was almost automatic: "Reveal the motive of my enemy."

With the prayer, Sek was granted a small amount of insight as to the aqua-giant's intent. He began running alongside Hellion and his woman. The first sensation was one of satisfaction directed at Andre and, to a lesser extent, Silice. The next was a flicker of irritation at Sek himself. Why was it pissed at him? He had done nothing! He was getting slightly concerned with the amount of cracks settling in on the floor. If they got too much bigger, they would be swimming the rest of the way.

By the way the aqua-giant smiled, that would not be very far.
