Caroline's eyes grew more clouded with tears when she heard his quiet understanding voice come over the phone. She thought her son and daughter's “This just might work”, she thought. They might be able to get out of this mess alive. And finally be able to properly grieve their father, and get out of this God forsaken house and try to live some semblance of a normal life again.
