"Naomi," came Joshua's assistant's voice, the programers and tech support are running a full diagnostic on the gaming system as we speak. They will then develop a few programs to make sure that this never happens again." She smile conspiratorially, patted her head, and left quickly. Watching her go, the developer turned his head towards Naomi, and whispered, "I think she likes you." He grinned and began to sway softly, stopped, and groaned. "My aching head," his hands went to his head, and began to massage his temples slowly, "I'll be fine when this mess is over."
"Sir?" His eyes drifted up to a young man, whose expression was full of concern, "The system is about to shut down, and several broadcasts have been sent throughout the world, telling everyone to log off now, or risk certain death. Sir," he seemed to hesitate, "There are still those who refuse to leave. Refuse to even budge, claiming that they wont log off until the game is fixed." The man twitched several times, before going quite, and his eyes darted in every direction, save for his boss. Another person placed his hand on the young man's shoulder, and said, "We'll increase the strength of the program, save and copy it onto an external hard drive, then let it run loose in the game. That will log everyone off, whether they like it or not."
Joshua stared up at the new speaker, smiling as he said, "Make it so. And when this mess is finally over, everyone will be getting a raise." A small cheer erupted from this, as many were already beginning to tire, "Then we shall rest, and throw a party," his hand came down on Naomi's shoulder, "You," he said emphasizing the word, "Will be in charge of that, Naomi," and chuckled lightly.
