Isaac began pacing in Zafina's room. She no longer filled his mind with thoughts of her. He was finally thinking rationally, and he was hating himself for his past actions. He wasn't thinking at all, stalking her like a predator playing with his prey. And he hated it. He would have hurt her. She talked about being a human, and she was right. He probably was a human once more. But the weaknesses he felt as a human, the susceptibility, the urge to satisfy primal emotions would cause him to, without a doubt, hurt Zafina.

Realizing his folly, he felt that it was necessary to kill any humanity he possessed. After all, he would have never hurt Zafina if he had the weaknesses of a human. In order to protect Zafina, he had to become a knife once more. He filled and focused his mind to concentrate on the memories that would destroy any feeling he possessed, that would kill his human self. He remembered the terrible crimes, until he felt numb. All he knew was that there was evil, and he had to be there to destroy it. He felt a smile try to rise, but it bubbled down to nothingness.

He ran straight to his room, and changed, taking out the equipment he used in prison. A reinforced motorcross mask, a pair of chemically treated goggles, a black scarf, black gloves, a several rolls of black bandages, and his old black boots. He put on a black windbreaker and trousers, and reinforced his joints with black bandages, also securing the legs of trousers to fit his form. He put on the rest of the equipment. A couple of hours ago, he had prepared his bag for anything just in case Rathius had made his move. Now, Rathius didn't matter. It was the evil that did. The evil that he was created to destroy.

He jumped out through his window and scaled down the dorm building. He sprinted straight to the entrance, but when he saw that there were two people near it, he decided that he wouldn't want them to get a good look at him. He instead ran to the wall adjacent to entrance and went over it in a split second, a feat that well-trained soldiers would have a hard time doing. Retracting his pocket knife, he realized that the day was still young, and he had much to do.
