Jonathan was listening to Raven when the boy appeared. Arion and he had a small conversation before the boy left.
"I'm going to go for a walk for a bit. Come on Angel." He started and walking and heard a fast tap on the ground. Then wings start to flap. A loud, slow pair...and a fast, quiet pair. The quiet pair sounded like a hum, a lot like a hummingbird.
"That's so cool..." Jonathan crouched down and reached out to the newborn. It jumped a few times happily then spun round and smacked it's tail into Jonathan's hand.
"Argh...that hur- WHOA!" When the tail hit him it felt like there was also a static shock that hit him and now his hand was going numb!
"Is this normal? Is it? Is it?!" His hand and arm were now nub, and part of his ribs but it stopped there.
"My whole arm is numb! Is this the special ability that my friend told me about? He said, 'They will flap their second pair of wings so fast you can only see a blur and then...you better stand clear'...so this is their special ability...how long will this damn thing last?" He hadn't actually been asking anyone in particular but more talking to contain his panic. He reached out and stroked the dragon that looked a little like a scolded child. Head hanging down in shame.
"So-sorr-sorry..."
"It's ok Angel...I forgive you...just, try not to hit me with that again alright?" Evangela nodded and flew, very unsteadily, onto Jonathan's stomach when he lay down.
