Elaine was laying on the hard, cold floor. She stared up at the ceiling and listened to the voices in her head drone on about things that she couldn't even imagine. The voices were all talking at once, making what seemed to be a monotonous buzzing sound in the back of her mind. There was, however, a voice that seemed to talk over the rest for her to hear. It was as if they were taking turns.
Dearest, you should get up. There is a very important meeting that you have to go to today!She grimaced.
"I am sure that there is no meeting, as there have never been meetings before." She said aloud. Speaking was the only way to think, as if she thought, her thoughts would only blend in with the monotonous voices in the background.
