Castor looked down at the book in his hand, it was old, tattered, worn, but a pleasure to read. He always seemed to pace while he read, he'd never noticed he did it, but he always did.

Click, click. Turn. Pause.

Castor frowned as he finished the book. What a terrible ending. How could the author simple have no one win? He scowled, hating the fact that the long-dead author had been indecisive in his choice of endings and tossed the book to the corner of the room in disgust.

He sighed and walked over to a chair, sitting down and closing his eyes in thought. If that was me, I would have killed him. No hesitation. Though...Perhaps there was something for me to learn in that book... In the end, he couldn't think of a thing. He chuckled to himself and shook his head, a bit of a smirk settling over his face as he mumbled, "No, I don't need to learn from humans." He shrugged to himself, what a silly thought.

He didn't even bother to turn when Xarium entered the room, very few had access to his chambers, and he trusted them all to not be stupid and try to kill him. He shook his head when he heard his second-in-command's voice. "Xarium, have you ever read something so terrible you almost wanted to bring it's author back to life so you could kill them?" He stood up and turned to face the other Perfectionis and said, "But never mind that, I actually don't-" He stopped as an alarm went off, a prisoner had escaped. He sighed, "Actually, could you go find the guard that let one of our prisoner's go and kill them? They are obviously worthless if they can't even watch over a few pathetic individuals." He shook his head and muttered, "I honestly don't know why I can't find a few more competent Perfectionis like you."

Then turning, hands clasped behind his back he said, "Our prisoner will no-doubt be back, likely to "save" the others around them, it's just how things work, so we need not chase them, that is all, you may leave."
