Abegail followed Walter out of the cafe, thanking him for the needed drink. "I have the unopened bottle in my bag. We can have another when we arrive."

They walked and Abegail shivered despite the humid air. Abegail was thankful for the driver stopping. She sat silently in the car. When they arrived she stepped out after Walter. The house was small, relatively remote. That put Abby at ease as they would see most people coming. Then a sense of dread crept in. They were also far away in the countryside with no way of getting away again.

Abegail kept her fear to herself as she followed Walter into the small house. She kept her eyes on the shadows praying there was not another SS officer waiting for them somewhere near by.

"Just a bit of rest, that's all I'm asking." the thought went through her mind as Walter opened the door.
