Cody finished off his apple slice as another man approached them. He introduced himself as Oliver and gave a smile, and he nodded to acknowledge him. "Cody. And yeah. I don't like the idea of this place. It's too much like a movie or a bad dream." His jaw clenched and his eyes followed to the door where the Mad Hatter had walked off to. Though he was sure no one could hear him, his voice grew quiet again as he said, "I want out."

Which was actually kind of amusing, now that he thought about it. Sure, the location was over-done and much too fancy for his taste: but look around. On any other day, he would have been thrilled to be around such beautiful women in such interesting attire. Turns out, the circumstances really does affect how he views things around him. He didn't have a whole lot of interest in introducing himself to anyone. For some reason though, one of the girls felt the need to introduce herself.

The woman was wearing a purple, black, and white dress. It looked very pretty on her, but Cody didn't really notice anything but the color of it. He'd watched her come from a group of two, one who seemed to be her brother and the other a woman with pink hair. She didn't seem interested in meeting the girl at all, and Cody wondered what had brought her over to the group of guys. Wouldn't most girls wait to be invited to join a male group like this? Cody didn't mind, though. Why would he?

"Cody," he said again. He would say "nice to meet you", but frankly, he'd much rather have met these people under different circumstances. Though he risked coming across as rude, he was in a bad mood and his curiosity got the better of him. He boldly asked, "Do you and the pink-haired girl not get along or something?" After he said it, he kind of hoped she wouldn't take offense to it. It wasn't his intent to be rude but the more he thought about it, the more it seemed that way.
