The Broken Desire
A sharp whistle pierced the sound of men working. Without a moments hesitation all the crew members ran to assembly to see what their captain wanted. Zain Turpin stood his back to his crew. He turned to face them. "Now we shall be arriving to..." He turned his head and looked to his first mate. "Where are we going Kadi?" He asks boredom apparent in his voice. "It's Blackbeard's Island sir." She said quickly. Zain returned his attention to his crew. "Now as you all know I will be taking two of you with me. Seeing how Kadi has already been selected I shall also be taking Sixarms." The man Sixarms pushed his way through the crowd. As he got to the helm he whispered in Zain's ear. "Sah, dah noot that ye got declared thet ye cold only bring one persun." He took a step back just in case his news angered his captain. Zain let out a light sigh. "Very well. Then while I'm gone Sixarms is in charge and if any of you rats other than Sixarms ere think you can play captain," A grim smile formed on his lips. "He has the right to kill." Zain looks at his crew with anger in his eyes. "Well go on then! You don't get paid to stand around!" Zain walks down the stairs motioning Kadi to follow him. She runs to him quickly. "Captain? D'you think that this time we could pretend to be married?" She asks nervously. Zain opens the door to his quarters. "Only if you behave yourself."

Zain had armed himself perfectly to his standards. His rapier attached to his hip, his pistols on the back of his waist, and several throwing knives strapped to his outfit and body. Kadi on the other hand just brought her pistols. As they walked down the gangplank Kadi behind him Zain heard her give a small yelp and he heard a bang. Turning sharply drawing his rapier he saw Kadi sitting on the plank holding her ankle, her face masked with pain. "What did you do this time?" Zain says sheathing his rapier. "I think I twisted my ankle." Kadi says through gritted teeth. Letting out a low sigh Zain picks her up throwing her onto his back in a piggyback sort of style. The crew starts to cheer and yell things "Yeah that's ow to treat your wife Captin! Maybe she's fakin lemme carry er jus to be sure!" Zain shot his crew a warning glance and they became silent instantly. Zain looked up at the house. "I'm not carrying you all that way." He says as he begins to walk to the house. "Please Cappin?" Kadi began to whine. "Surely I can't do eet meself." Zain continued walking trying to hold back a smile.
