The Twins

Ralph's eyes fluttered open as he registered the sounds of morning. He sat up, turned his body and found that Rafe too was awake. Ralph tilted his head and felt their silent connection. They lifted themselves out of bed and pulled on their clothes, matching of course. What fun was being identical twins if you couldn't laugh at the people who weren't competant enough to tell. Exiting their tent they looked around and saw that they were the first to awaken. Oh, that wouldn't do. That wouldn't do at all.

The boys rummaged through their bountiful, and seemingly useless supplies to find the perfect prank. What to do what to do? Ralph pulled a large plastic knife that look extremely realistic. He pressed down and the tip of the knife and the 'blade' retracted into the hilt. He grinned as Rafe pulled out a bag of fake blood. Oh, yes. The first 'death' of battle was to be very, very soon.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed Rafe. He screamed and screamed until his troat was sore, people were started to groan and whine of being woken up in their tents. Ralph raced after Rafe, his grin gone crazy and the knife held like a murderer. They ran and ran around almost every tent, exculding any royalty, and woke just about everyone up. Time for a big finish. Rafe's faced plunged to the ground as he tripped and fell. "He's gone mad! He's gone MAD!" he yelled finally before Ralph plunged the knife down into his twin's gut. Blood spurted out and soaked the thin white shirt he wore. Rafe then dropped his knife and sank to the ground, tears falling from his eyes. "Brother, what have I done?" his whispered softly. People tried to come close but Ralph glared at them. At first laughter was heard, then suprise was seen on the faces of the people gathering around them. Was it a prank again? Were they joking? Surely not, Ralph cried real tears..?
