In the chaos that now pursued Walter push his way past the crowd in an attempt to get to Abigail before one of strangers in the trenchcoats was able to break free of the guide to grab her. Pushing his way past the rather upset man in a black suit Walter grabbed Abigail by the hand as the two of them made their way to the train which had pulled up to the platform. Walter could feel Abigail's relief by the tension in her hand as the two climbed aboard the train, narrowly making their way onto the fifth train car. Neither Walter nor Abigail could see the guide through the smoke clouded window of the car, all they could do was hope that he was able to get aboard in time, and that he was able to fight off the two strangers with the black coats, although somehow they doubted that this was so. Luckily for them the train was only minutes away from leaving the station when the two men showed up to try and stop them from getting on it, seconds later the engines of the train started up, the wheels started to move taking the train down the tracks, leaving the two strangers behind with Abigail, Walter and their guide safely aboard the train. Finally gathering up enough steam the train was finally on its way and as the train speeded up taking them farther and farther away the three exhausted passengers began to relax. As they stood there by the door exhausted and gasping for breath Walter thought over the days events not believing what had transpired these last few days, he could hardly believe that such an insignificant thing as a rock could possibly be of so much value to anyone other than the most dedicated and insane geologist. Looking over at Abigail Walter inhaled deeply and upon releasing it spoke to Abigail, "Well, it won't be long now. I think perhaps we're nearing the end of it all. Just think Abigail only a few days ago we were sitting at our desks, our only care was how in the world am I going to get all of these blasted papers corrected before the day is out." To that both Abigail and Walter laughed.
