At his family’s café, Lyall was free to wear whatever he wanted as long as it was plain and practical and he wore a black piny that covered the top half of his legs. Today, underneath said piny, he was wearing dark blue jeans that hugged the top half of his legs but was baggier on the lower half, with faded patches over the knees. A muscle-hugging white t-shirt, a pair of dark green high-top Converses, a simple dirtied silver watch and a silver chain-link necklace made-up his semi-professional look, and whilst there was no customers, he was scrolling through his iPhone behind the counter.

“Lyall.”

The young man quickly looked up, hiding his phone in his pocket through reflex, and his hazel green orbs met near identical ones as he looked up to see his father, poking his head out of the kitchen door and wearing a small grin.

“No texting pretty girls on duty, son.” The older version of the twenty year-old said, completely with greying hair, stubble and wrinkles, mainly laugh lines.

“I wasn’t texting. I was checking the weather.” Lyall responded, running a hand through his cropped brown hair, crossing one arm over his chest and holding the space just below his arm pit.

“On your phone? Wow, you kids sure can do a lot today with those gadgets of yours.” The chef remarked, chuckling to himself as he disappeared back into the kitchen. After a few minutes, Lyall could hear him whistling while he worked, getting ready for the morning ahead.

The werewolf ran a hand down his strong jawline, rubbing his cheek before crossing both arms across his chest and looking up towards the door. It wasn’t the best weather; it was raining very lightly, ‘spitting’ as his dad would put it, and the sky was mostly grey. Leaning against the back cabinets, he wondered if anyone would be in town today and what his pack were up to. Then, for a moment, his mind wandered to the witches. No, in all honesty, it wandered to Eve, but the Alpha quickly corrected himself and pushed the thought aside. Pretty girls weren’t on the menu today, or so he thought.
