Tasha sobbed quietly as Zac hugged her. She was still terrified, still worried that he would leave... but there was immense comfort at being tucked into his arms. At least he wasn't going to walk away without a word... he was doing his best to comfort her. Not that either of them knew what he was supposed to say to make her feel better. When you're seventeen, almost eighteen, with a baby on the way, there isn't really much that can be said to make you feel better...

And then she felt Zac start to pull away. One part of her panicked, told her to cling on tighter to the father of her baby. But her rational mind was still mostly in control... he probably just wanted to say something. She let him go.

"Is it even mine?"

Tasha stiffened at that. How dare he even-?! How could he think-?! Whose else would it-?! She couldn't quite finish a thought. It was probably just the pregnancy hormones that made her so volatile, but the suggestion that she had been cheating infuriated her. And she had been a snappy, relatively violent girl to begin with. She lifted her tear-stained face to glare at Zac.

"Of course it is!" she hissed angrily. "I would never do that to you!"

Then she caught herself and flushed bright red, turning her face away. "Sorry..." she whispered. "Didn't mean to snap..."
