(San Francisco International Airport)
Daniel had been watching Jen use up what must be the last of her energy, not moving much considering the unknown stability of what he was standing on and his own fatigue. When she disappeared, everyone amongst the battleground was lying on the ground or had left. "I should probably ask him to join us now... Right Daniel?... But I'll wait a little, he seems to be enjoying himself." Christian gave a smile and looked off into some direction, he didn't really care enough to follow his sight. "You should probably help her out... I don't think she would like her first sight to be me when she awakes... Give her this..." When he turned towards him to answer, a rose was placed in Daniel's hand. "...Tell her that we will be going to headquarters, we need to rest for a while... Also I shall be picking up a few new friends for us... Will meet up with you later, Daniel." He walked off to whatever had detonated the explosion and traveled to ground level with it.
He scanned the surrounding area for a sign of the target the self-appointed leader had given him. He spotted what looked to be a pretty clear indication of where she was; a rather distinct dome could be seen near an open road, it was just a few miles away. He used some of the remnants of ice to conserve energy and gain momentum from the top of the building. It wouldn't take him very far and then he'd have to walk. Seeing as how no one was around and he would be walking for some time he began to talk to himself. He decided to take this time to respond to all the times he had been denied before. "It's great that you can still go on with such energy, but considering I froze half of a major city I'm quite tired. No don't worry about it you're right, no one wants their first sight to be you when they wake." He remembered the flower he had been holding onto between two fingers. He twirled it around his middle finger with the assistance of the others. "Yes Cassidy, I can go get Jen. No Cassidy, I don't deliver flowers." He let the rose fall to the dirt.
When he finally approached the dome, he wondered what he should do. "It's such a waste of energy but it would be best to sleep in a bed rather than rocks and rubble. You'd probably agree with me if you were awake." He rationalized his next action and placed his hand upon the barrier, shattering it and its subsequent kin. She was exhausted and completely asleep, and he wasn't going to be the one to wake her from something they all needed. Using his ice he lifted her and placed her on his back. From here until unconsciousness come she would stay there because he didn't have enough energy to use magic for awhile. "Sorry if I wake you, but the arrogant prick wants us back at headquarters." He laughed at the last word, mostly due to it being incredibly improper for what the place actually was.
