Somewhere the sound of screams would be heard as demons attacked a nearby village. Sadly it would've been a few other villages not far from where Kaede's village was. Though Kaede had long since died and Kagome had taken her place protecting the village. Though that isn't what this story was currently about. Somewhere in the middle of it, stood a full dog demon by the name of Lord Sesshomaru. Though he wasn't the cause of everyone's panic, as he was simply walking by when a demon came towards him to try to devour him and use him for more power.
"Such insulence! Do you really think your more powerful then I? I think not."
Sesshomaru said his voice showing distaste, and lack of interest. The demon charged at him as Sesshomaru spiraled upwards into the air as a whip-like strand of yellow-green energy emerged from his fingertips as it colladed against the other demon, slicing through it's demonic body. Poison burned as an effect from Sesshomaru's attack, watching the demon falling down defeated,the yellow-green energy retracted back into his fingertips as it would no longer be visible. Missing one arm, he was still quite powerful with the one. He had lost an arm so long ago and had gone to see a witch to replace it, which she had...but he ended up loosing it again in battle. Which Rin wouldn't have known about.

"Compared to me, you were never any good."

Sesshomaru said as he landed back onto the ground with ease, even though humans that survived ran up to thank him, he would ignore them as if they were nothing and walked away pretending like nothing had happened at all. Although he had soften over the years he still held such an act. The tough guy kind of act. Though his mind thought about Rin a lot. He had grown to love her, even though she was a small child, then he had loved her like family. He knew she was no longer a child and he honestly hadn't seen her in a long time to have known that he couldn't love her the same way anymore. Though he would always protect her.
