Akita had ran to a store to pick some food out and had just came out to fine her white cat, Dammit sitting by the door. She smiled at the cat, without thinking. When she realized what she was doing she brought her hand to her lips feeling the slight curve of them, cherishing the feeling before it disappeared into a frown and she was holding back tears. A smile didn't belong on her lips.

She swallowed hard and leaned over to stroke the cat's back before standing up and walking home. The bag bounced on her hip as she walked and Dammit strolled at a leisurely pace by her. She saw a guy walk by her, he reminded her of Adrian, his hair was black like his.

She groaned and internally slapped herself, why did she force herself to think of Adrian? Why was she torturing herself like this? Her head ached with a pain that she's had since this morning, but it didn't hurt nearly as much as the hole in her heart. She hated herself for hurting so much. What did Adrian do for her? Pretend to love her and then die?

And then die...

She felt a whimper escape her throat and she covered her mouth to mask the sound. "Where did that come from?" Akita muttered, removing her hand from her lips, she looked at it, as if she could find answers. But she didn't find anything, her hand didn't tell her how Adrian really felt, nor why she felt this hole in her chest. She swallowed a lump and quickened her pace, now just wanting to get home.

She reached the building and found a boy standing outside her door. Akita tightened her grip on the bags, couldn't her classmates just leave her alone? She was fine! She walked up to him, her long, thin reddish brown hair hung down her back like an unkempt, knotted cape behind her and her brown eyes narrowed slits. She knew she looked like a mess, she hadn't cared about beauty since Adrian died. A small yellow bell jingled as she walked and a blue knitted dress hung on her body with black boots that clicked on the sidewalk as she walked.

"I don't know who you are." She hissed, "but I don't need your sympathy."
