Jaida took a nervous sip from her glass at the pause that followed the answer to her question. Leave it to her to say something that was probably offensive or none of her business. "Oh how rude of me," continued Leon breaking the silence, " let me introduce ourselves. This is Vanilla Shuguro," He said gesturing to the pink neko who was seemingly no longer interested in the cake. "And I'm Leon De'Strelles, the idiot husband that got chosen for you Jaida." He said with a bow.
An intake of breath chose the wrong moment as Jaida miss-swallowed her drink, coughing with her hand covering her mouth as she stared at the now named prince. “You...You’re Leon?!” And here I was thinking they were a couple... though that explanation was hasty come to think of it. Nonsense. He was just talking with the Neko. Shaking the thought off her gaze was caught by a passing of white in the corner of her eye. The angel, who appeared – no pun intended – as if his feathers were extremely ruffled. He was definitely handsome, and looked like he could use a bit of cheering up at the moment. Perhaps... Focus!
Snapping her attention back to Leon, Jaida gave a polite nod of her head as Vanilla excused herself to apparently track down her own fiancé. Now it was just the two of them with Jaida feeling like a sputtering fool. “Sorry, I mean I’m glad to finally meet you. You surprised me. And I highly doubt you’re the idiot husband. I’m pretty sure that title is being held by one of my older brothers.” A smile breaking across her face at the attempt to lighten the mood, she was silently kicking herself for her previous train of thought. Leon seemed like he had a good sense of humour about the situation, and he was indeed very likable. Red hair she could see herself wanting to pass a hand through, and intelligent eyes that she wanted to know what they could tell her.
But that other man... He moved so gracefully, even with whatever mood he held leaving; it was entrancing to watch. And he was chivalry polite to the girl that had tripped...
Whatever was going on here?! Looking at Leon, her heart skipped a beat at the thought of being betrothed to him; yet, at the same time it sunk when the angel had so swiftly left the room without a chance to speak a word to him.
Taking a moment to set down her drink to cover the pause, Jaida glanced around the room surprised at how empty it had become without her notice. “Looks like the paryt is over. I would have liked to have been able to talk to you more.” And surprisingly, she desperately did. “I wasn’t allowed in this part of the castle before, so I don’t really know my way back to my room or wherever it is they moved us girls to now. Would you um...” Now is not the time to go all blushy Jaida! But blush she did. “Would you care to escort me?”
