Another couple of minutes passed for one Takeshi Ishida and his comapny ball, although now it wasn’t as excruciatingly painful as before. True, it was an exaggeration but nonetheless he hated waiting for something to happen. He blamed his genetics; his own family members, mainly his elder sister, had troubles with their patience. So, if anything he had an excuse for playing with a ball at the current time. On the other hand, he could be doing something more productive. Like attempting to create ideas for the school events, but right now the Masked were focused on one girl in particular. Mizu Awaka.
He didn’t know much about her, which troubled him in a sense. In school grounds he had caught a few glimpses of her, but nothing significant. It was odd since he hadn’t seen much of her even though the Masked were so intent on letting her join them. But, there was this thing about her that had him interested; though he was clueless as to what it meant. The opposite gender was never a subject that he knew much of, you could even say that he had no experience in girls. He had his reasons for that; counting his reasons from time to time so he could reassure himself that it was normal for him to not have much interaction with girls. One; he was the Jack in the Masked and he had responsibilities and not much free time. Two; his sporting teams counted on him to be there and help them in every game. Three; well he simply wasn’t a sweet talker; he was more of a friendly type.
During his thoughts, he kept on juggling the ball between his feet to his knees to the top of his head. Naturally, he became oblivious to the rest of the world and focused on his thoughts and the ball. Not to mention that the calming wind was oh, so pleasing. Like the saying goes, ‘boys can’t multi-task,’ Takeshi subconsciously switched off his mind. He didn’t even hear people approach him from behind until a feminine voice halted his deep thoughts.
“Huh?” he spun around quickly, causing his blond hair to becoming messier than ever. Blinking his eyes wider, a sudden realisation hit him as he noticed Mizu standing right in front of himself. What was even more surprising was that she initiated the conversation first; there she was the girl that the Masked wanted and she was here. He figured the trusty King and Queen would be successful, so he might as well go on with it.
“Yup, the one and only!” he let out his signature grin, stopping the ball just under his feet. Sometimes he wondered if the ball acted like a safe-guard, to help him keep his ground for no reason at all. He carried on, “So, what brings you here? ... Though I can’t blame you for coming here, the garden is simply perfect.” he was trying to buy time because he had yet to see Shigeru and Eliza. So, he wasn’t 100% sure that they lead her here. However, in the time being he was all up for talking with Mizu; it was such a coincidence that he was wondering about her. He loosely ran a hand through his overly-messed up locks of hair; one day he had to cut it even if it would look terrible.
