Would they drown in this dark horrible pit, or could they free themselves, these were the questions that they were now asking themselves. The water in the immediate area was completely still, neither of them had dared to move, fearing that the water might be even deeper near the center of the cavern. The water toward the center of the pit was suddenly disturbed by something that was attempting to rise out of the water.
