Abegail felt Niclas' grip loosen as the gun went off but no grunt of pain and she knew she had missed. Opening her eyes she saw the dirt settling. Abegail felt herself beign pulled away from Niclas and she was ready to strike the person who grabbed her. She assumed an officer had grabbed her from Niclas. Abegail was very wrong. She raised her hand and found herself in Indy's arms. He pushed her towards the jeep and Abegail ran quickly to it. Abegail watched Indy hold Niclas off with his gun. Beside her Walter gestrued to the door and he and Abegail ran in to get her mother. Bridget waited with the jeep running. The three returned to the jeep, Indy yelled for them to get in. Walter climbed into the passenger seat. Mrs. McHugh climbed in the back. Abegail climbed in and stood waiting for Indy.

Indy came to the jeep. He kept his gun on Niclas and Abegail reached to help him climb in. Once in the three were very squished in the backseat. Niclas' anger was written all over his face. He called for his men and to Abegail's relief none came to his aid. Abegail heard Walter speak to Niclas and the jeep drove off. Abegail's mother grabbed her and hugged her tightly. She was talking quickly, Abegail couldn't make out what she was saying. "It's alright now ma. We'll take ye some place safe. Da and the boys can come get you later." Her mother held Abegail's hand tightly for the rest of the ride.

When they arrived in the smaller town a few hours later Mrs McHugh got out of the jeep. She grabbed Bridget, "Ye be careful." She hugged her tightly. Mrs McHugh grabbed Indy's hand. "Ye take care of yerself. Don't let anyone stop ye." She patted his hand. Moving to Walter, Mrs McHugh patted his cheek, "Thanks to ye for comin' back. Mind would have prefered if you hadna left me in the first place." Mrs McHugh chuckled. She looked at both men, "Ye two men, take care of my girls now. Girls, make sure the boys donna do anything stupid, aye?"

With that Mrs McHugh grabbed Abegail and hugged her hard. The two women whispered and Mrs McHugh turned and headed in to the pub. She'd call her husband and her sons and they would take care of picking her up. They'd also deal with whatever might await them at home. Abegail hated the idea of leaving her and her family to take care of the mess but there was so much to do. Abegail quietly climbed into the jeep with the rest and they set off again.

Abegail looked at Walter, "Thank ye for goin' back and to ye Bridget for drivin' so well." Turning to Indy, "Thank ye from savin' me from him." Abegail sat in silence for the rest of the drive. Lost in her thoughts the guilt of brining the nazi's to her family's door and putting the rest in danger was causing a knot in her stomach.
