Mark nodded. He was right they were at a disadvantage no matter what they choose to do. He wasn't fond of the idea of saving the girl, as she meant nothing to him compared to the remaining brothers and the station but he would go and help where they needed him. His hands, still bandaged and burnt would not be very useful but he'd do what he could.

The remaining members of the order began to move to towards the infirmary. Cautious, they looked for any sign the creature was around them. Pausing often to listen even though they had no idea what the thing sounded like. In all the previous attacks no one had really heard anything but the screams of the men. The men's eyes were watching for some sign of blurry movement. The fear was heavy in the air. Mark wiped the sweat that was breaking out on his forehead. He whispered to Brother Striker, "Do you think the woman might know something about this creature?"

The small group moved down the hall. Arriving at the door to the infirmary a few went in to find the girl while the rest kept watch in the hall. The station was eerily quiet, devoid of the monks normal activities and sounds.

Mark swallowed and waited to learn the girl's fate.
