Mark listened to the silence of the other monks. The fear so high in the room that it was palpable. Mark kept his head down, "I'll do it. I'll be the bait." What did he have to look forward to anyway? If the monks were all killed there would be nothing left of the life he knew. He took the silence of the monks to mean they had not heard him. Those around him shuffled nervously.

Raising his head, Mark looked at Striker, "I'll do it. If it is the only way to stop that thing from killing us all then I will draw it to us. Kill it. Kill it before it ends us all and there is nothing left of the order but an empty station."

Mark looked around at the others, the few that were left. Many would not look at him. It is a tough thing to accept that one would risk themselves to save the rest. Some were grateful that Mark had stepped up as they felt their courage was not strong enough to offer themselves.

"Where do you want me to go? Tell me the plan and I will draw the thing in." Mark looked at Striker.
