Joo-Eun smiled gently as the elder spoke to her. She didn't care that the living arrangements wouldn't be extravagant. She would just be happy to have a place to lay her head at night. She felt a poke in her rib and looked to see Marrik looking at her. "Why didn't you tell me you were from Pokke?" he whispered with warm breath in her ear. "I didn't think it was that important." she whispered back. She straightened as the elder turned his attention back to them. She listened as he told them about their accommodations and handed her the key.She gladly took it from him and put it on her pocket. She smirked a little as she heard Marrik's stomach growl. He's always hungry. she thought with a chuckle.

Upon hearing that Hari Cal had been the one to bring in dinner she laughed. "I knew he'd be a Hunter one day. He seemed the type." She smiled as Marrik patted her shoulder saying that he would hold a seat for her. She gave her thanks to the elder and bowed again before she followed Marrik into the tavern. The food smelled delicious and she was starving. She took a seat next to Marrik and unloaded her bow and quiver from her back. It was a relief to have the weight of her weapon and pack off of her shoulders and she stretched her muscles. She began to fill a plate with Popo meat as Marrik spoke to Hari.

She looked up to see a girl with long red pigtails looking their way. She looked vaguely familiar, but couldn't place her name. Katherine, Kari, Cassie. Something like that. She remembered the girl had a penchant for stealing things and decided to keep on eye on her.

She looked over at Hari's way as he boasted that she and Marrik weren't needed. "You know, you were always boastful, even as a boy." she said to him down the table. She felt she had said her piece and took a large bite of the Popo meat.

Before she knew it, Marrik was in a rage. He had said hurtful things to him in retaliation for Hari's 'sand rats' remark. She knew he would still be fuming as his temper lasted. She watched as he stormed out the tavern. She hated making a scene, but she abruptly found herself in the middle of one. "I'm sorry for his temper, " she said to the tavern as a whole, "we have had a long journey and his patience is thin." She knelt down to Hari and whispered in his ear. "You would do well to respect your elders boy. We did not travel all this way just to be insulted by the likes of you." She picked herself up from the floor and grabbed her things. She took a plate of Popo meat as well in case Marrik would be hungry later.

She stepped out of the tavern into the chilly night air. She saw Marrik's shape ahead of her and followed him to the house that was set up for them. She arrived as he tried to open the door forcefully. She pushed him aside gently and asked him to hold the plate of meat as she opened the door. The door swung open with a creak. She set about lighting some candles around the room for some light. She saw Marrik still in the doorway and spoke gently. "It will get cold if the the door is left open. Please come in." She knew he was probably still fuming so she would give him time to calm down. She went into a bedroom and put her things away in their designated places and went back to check on Marrik.
