Kid was confused by his mother's questions but tried to consider correct and incorrect answers. He looked up to her, worried that she was troubled, but she seemed to brush it off. Mention of breakfast made him realise he was hungry and he smiled that she was willing to put up with his strange obsessions.
"Thank you... Mother," He said slowly, the word sounded like it fit, but it felt strange, as if he didn't say it often. He headed to the bathroom to wash up, making sure the toilet paper was folded into a triangle and that the hand towel was folded into thirds before being hung on the ring. When he was ready he entered the dining room.
