The instant Indiana stepped out in front of the main tent Niclas called for two of his soldiers to subdue the professor. Turning on his heels Indy ran toward the trucks that were parked just off to the right of the big gray army tent. Two soldiers with rifles came rushing out of the tent, one of them was held up slightly as his weapon became entangled in the mesh-layer of the door flap. This fortunate turn of events enabled Indy to take care of the one soldier more easily, the first man receiving some harsh comments from Niclas as to the soldiers incompetence. Indy forced his way between one of the larger mounds and the armored vehicle parked tightly against it. Once he was behind the mound and out of sight of the approaching SS officer Indiana proceeded to climb the mound, finally settling upon its top. Indy laid there on his stomach and waited for the officer to take the same route between the truck and the mound. The soldier carefully maneuvered around the mound and truck, eventually stopping in back of the mound upon which Indiana had positioned himself. Now free to get up on his knees and then in a crouched position, Indy waited for the officer to move slightly closer. Seizing the opportunity Indy jumped from the height of the mound and came crashing down upon the gun-bearing soldier. The SS man was out cold as Indy began to drag him to the vehicle, once there Indy crammed the man underneath the truck in order to hide the unconscious soldier. Indiana then heard the sound of someone approaching the mound from the right side, deciding to ambush the predator by going around to the left side of the mound. With the task successful Indy attacked the soldier, Indy and the young officer were now engagged in fisticuffs. Niclas growing increasingly impatient, decided that he would deal with this matter personally. Walter and Bridget were still lost within the labyrinth.
