Jenny Hawk
Jenny merely looked down at the envelope in her hands. She fiddled with the corners and sides until they were all wrinkly. She knew what was inside, but she didn't want to open it and reveal her soulmate. Maybe if I just don't open it, I can get kicked out and go home... but they would just send me to another school anyway. She sighed as she thought about her parents. They had sent her here just to get her out of their lives, that is, their 'perfect family life'. She had apparently ruined it by being born different from her mindless siblings, and now she was stuck at a school for soulmates. Plus she knew that once she got out of the school she would be on her own and disowned from the family, if she wasn't already.
Jenny let out a sigh and pulled a letter opener from her bag. She had it for this specific purpose and had made sure to get her family's most antique and precious letter opener in a small revenge. She placed the dull blade at the corner and slid it across the opening, making a smooth cut through the top. She clenched her lips together as she pulled out the paper that would change her life forever.

Jenny blinked at the name. She didn't know anyone in the school, so how was she supposed to find this guy. She shivered slightly at the chance that it could be a girl with a guy's name. She put the paper back in and looked down at her guitar case. May as well. I definitely need to calm down, and maybe it would actually help the others relieve tension too. Jenny pulled the case on her lap and snapped it open. She pulled out a pure black guitar and put the case back on the ground under the desk. She pulled the guitar pick from the strings and strummed to make sure it was in tune. Once she twisted the tuners a bit, she began playing a song on the guitar and singing to it.

I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you

Jenny calmed as she sang and played, a smile creeping onto her face as her eyes closed and she continued singing, increasing the tempo of the song a bit.
