Cara paused, looking after Shayde and then looked at Lakota and then at the girl. Now that she looked closely the girl looked ghostly, about as substantial as a wisp of smoke. Was she going insane? She put her gun away, she was crazy that was it, just chasing after dogs. Still, she felt like she was on the verge of something. She looked between the dog and the girl and spoke uneasily "Hello?" She didn't know why she talked. was she expecting the wolf to speak back? As crazy as the idea was, she realized that that was exactly what she did expect.
