All the noise and chaos faded into silence in the Dark Mistress's mind when she approached the tomb covered in vines and mold. Tears started to streak down her cheeks as she began to dig through the mess. Blood soon began meandering down the stone, she didn't see the thorns that were tightly wound around the marker.
"It sure is good to see you Alina"
The Dark Mistress quickly dried her tears and slowly turned to the voice behind her, "I wish I could say the same."
The mayor nodded his head, "I wouldn't blame you, things didn't exactly leave off on a happy note. I've been thinking about that day a lot, how unfair everything was...but you do something like this", pointing at the destroyed village, "...its like you want people to hate you."
"Oh, You hate me now?" the Dark Mistress laughed. "Who would have thought."
"Ah, there's the same Alina I knew years ago, still blind to everything."
"You're wrong. There's nothing that is hidden to me now, there's nothing out of my reach."
At this, the mayor simply stared at the woman who he used to know as the girl who used to make his days brighter and exciting. "What did you come for?"
"It's none of your business" she said breaking her eye contact with him, "I suggest you run away, you might get hurt."
"Oh, you care about me now?" the mayor laughed.
