Julian whirled away from the stairs, where his eyes had been glued for for several minutes. Only to find the rest of the hallway gone, or at least not as it was before. Instinctively he reached out towards Rein as if he could anchor himself to someone so he wouldn't go spinning down that long, dark hallway. "Have I mentioned I'm a coward?" Whispered the now evidently frightened boy.
Julian had of course been frightened before. Waking up alone in a strange house had that effect, as did wandering around this creepy little house. The thing was now he had proof. He distinctly remembered those room. Hell, he'd been passed out in one for who knows how long. Julian knew he wasn't stoned on anything, not even drunk so why would his perceptions be mistaken?
"So there's this hallway which grew a hundred yards out of nowhere maybe with your phone down there somewhere on the eighteenth floor or some shit. We need to go down." Julian intensely whispered close to Rein's ear as if afraid if he made a noise who knows what it would summon. Something inside Julian that told him once he turned back around, where there had been a staircase in a fairly normal house, there might now be something completely different. "Oh please, oh please let the staircase still be there and we'll run down and out the front door never to return, how does that sound? And then I'll buy breakfast, yeah?"
