Axel was lying fully dressed on a hotel couch, she opened her eyes and blinked sleepily at the light shining through her window. She grumbled to herself, and turned over. On the hotel bed this would've been a fairly harmless move, but not on a narrow couch. With a yelp she rolled straight off and landed hard on the floor with a thump. She breifly considered falling back asleep, but decided against it. She was pretty sure Draven had the key to her room, and he was really the last person she wanted coming across her when she was asleep. Way too much of a prankster. Picking herself up with a groan, she walked to the corner of the smallish room and switched on the coffee machine. She never traveled without her coffee machine. It came to life with a click, and she walked back through to her living room, picking up her hat off the couch arm and plopping it squarely on her head. She continued to clean up the mess that was strewen around the room from last night's whatever-it-was. She put the last three cans of the six-pack of beer into the fridge and turned to the coffee machine when it pinged. She had her back to the door as she poured herself a cup of the hot drink. She thought she heard the door open but assumed it was her imagination.
