Beldur tossed and turned having nightmares of his own, mostly of vin becoming an abombination he shuddered awake early and looked around seeing vin was gone. he looked around worriedly and saw her by a tree, he went over to her and hugged her tightly "your alive....good" he sighed happily and sat next to her keeping an eye on the mage while resting an arm over her shoulder pulling her close. he felt that vin has had a rough few days and he wasnt entirely close enough to comfort her "nightmares? do you want to tell me about them?"

he was going to spend the early hours talking like they used to waiting for the dalish elf to wake up so they could head into the mines. when she did awake she said very little having taken beldurs words to heart and lead them silently into the mines, beldur standing close to vin at all times. when the door to the mines opened beldur and vin were hit with the tingling sense of darkspawn inside as if they were in the deep roads with beldurs first fight against the archdemon, he even shuddered at it before moving infront of vin in a clearly defensive stance.


the mines were deep and dark the halls spanning for miles up and down in large caverns. the odd darkspawn corpse could be seen on the ground along with several dalish elves which made beldur quite depressed. quite a few corrupted spiders could be seen skitting high up on the caves and the sounds of fighting and darkspawn growling echoed from deep within. beldur and the salish mage set their hands alight to light up the room, beldur sighed and whispered to vin "this is what it means to be a grey warden vin. never rest, never peace. it was like this during the first blight before i met you. you've made it tolerable" with a depressed smile and then a sigh he moved on whispering to the dalish woman in the elven tounge. the elf and beldur stopped as their elongated ears twitched, beldur grabbed vin as foot steps could be heard and an unfamiliar voice echoed followed by one speaking in an unusual manner. it was obviously a darkspawn talking

"how goes our plans to capture the grey wardens?" the first voice said. it was a clam and soothing voice yet a booming bass to it
"it is being much more difficult thanh foretold. the female is strong and enduring the others are fearful of fighting her including the ogres.and the male is the famous mage that everyone here fears. there is also another elven one with them" the darkspawn's voice said. beldur smiled a tiny smile but stopped as the first voice spoke again
"do not kill them. we need them alive for their blood if our plan is to suceed. the elf can be disposed off. her sibling is much more important to us than she is"

the dalish mage growled and sprinted off beldur went to dive but was too slow landnig on the floor, he whispered in a hurry "vin! get her!! your faster and quiter than i am, we cannot get caught here or we will all die!"
