"I wish Indy were here." Walter said to himself. "He could take out three guys with no weapons easily. Oh well, guess Ill have to summon up his skill." Thinking further, then speaking out loud in order to surprise his captors "Time for the old One, Two." And with that Walter stepped on the foot of inmate who was detaining him, then turning to face him Walter punched the man in the face; hurting his hand in the process. The lunatic fell to the ground as Walter spun around once more and grabbed doctor Curry by the lapels of his fancy suit. "You have a seat doctor." Walter then pushed Aldo back into the chair which had been set up with the four devices.

When he fell back into the chair the helmet, which had been fixed to a support pole and positioned over the seat, fell against the powering device. The pre-cranked machine spat forth sparks and activated. Unfortunately Doctor Curry had not placed his feet on the dampening system and the galvanic plate was not around his neck.

Several years before.

Dr. Aldo Curry was murdered by his long time associate and financier George P. Luster. Once a renowned physician and scientist Dr. Curry had become obsessed with the inventions of a certain scientist who was linked with the Fox sisters, who had been responsible for the growing popularity of the Spiritualist movement of the late 18th centuries. Although he had professed the discovery of one of the inventions said to enable one to communicate with the dead, in fact he already discovered the entire apparatus, but had kept this secret from his peers and the rest of the academic world.

Soon after taken the position as head of the Dancer's Asylum in upstate New York he began to study the device in great detail. Not long after he began human experiments on some of the hospital inmates, and to great success. Within the months that followed Dr. Curry had tested the device on scores of patients, several of whom had met their death at the doctors hands. The Asylum had known many deaths over the centuries in which it functioned, having been a mental hospital even before the construction of the current building.

Some believe that the spirits who haunted the new institute were those of the original, for while the building was demolished the ghosts remained to haunt the area upon which it once stood. These were the spirits which Doctor Curry had transferred into the bodies of his patients at Danvers. These were now the spirits that are entering his body while under the influence of the spirit communication device.
