Legion finished Liege of Inveracity's with one final, overwhelming power chord, leaving the crowd ravenous for more. Izzie grinned. If only my father...if only Mullen could see me now, she thought smugly, watching the vast crowd. What's the most his band's ever gotten for a crowd all to themselves--a couple hundred? Ha! The smile lessened across her face as her rosewood eyes swept over the crowd. Wish he could see me here and now...then he'd know that maybe I would've been worth staying for after all...

"Alright, let's hit it!"

The voice that drew her from the sudden lapse in concentration was quickly followed by the beginning of what she recognised as an AC/DC song. Shaking her head, quickly reinstating the triumphant grin on her sharp face, the guitarist turned around as the band began to reconvene to discuss the next set.

"We'll play any two songs you guys wanna play," Johnny said as he glanced over towards Chicago Loop. "I got Slipknot's Left Behind."

"Slipknot?" Izzie retorted loudly. "The hell makes ya think I know how to play any Slipknot? Well, I know. I'll just play a few unoriginal chord patterns and some uninteresting, untalented solos and pretend it's the most brilliant thing ever done on stage. It'll sound just like 'em!" she finished with a cruelly mocking laugh, her usual malicious, abrasive persona rearing its ugly head through the veil in the wake of her momentary regression into the thoughts she had refused to brood over right up until Legion hit the stage.

"Well, if yer callin' in Slipknot, I'm callin' in the big guns," Izzie smirked. "Corporal Jigsore Quandary." She turned to Lenchi. "You set the speed, aye?" she added, knowing that, for all his laziness away from the drumset, when Lenchi was allowed to set the tempo of the song, you could bet it was gonna be accelerated to ludicrous speeds. The drummer grinned--this crowd had no idea what was about to hit them. "Got it."

Izzie turned to the bassist. "Any preferences?" But Juniper merely replied, "You know I'l play whatever you guys want to play. I'm not picky." She looked over towards Lenchi. "Ian, you alright love?" The drummer merely directed the uncommon grin towards her. "Alright? I'm fuckin' ready to set this shit blazing!"

"Well, you do that. Seems now I have to ask you what song you wanna play," Izzie cut across, making a mocking but good-natured sort of frown at the drummer, who responded with his own mock-sneer. "Let's do Blood Oath then, I've been really wanting to--"

"Nope, we ain't doin' Blood Oath."

"Okay," was all Lenchi said in responce to Izzie's rapid-fire shooting down of his proposal. No point in arguing with her. Nor was there any point to asking why when the responce was liable to be "I don't feel like it asshole, now get behind the friggin' drumset already and start hitting shit". "Slayer. War Ensemble."

"Good with me." Izzie swept around, watching Chicago Loop as they played through their set. After Back in Black, Izzie didn't recognise a single song they were playing--but then again, she figured, none of the four of them probably had any idea what the hell any of the songs Legion was playing were either, so t'was all fair and well. After the final note was played, Izzie turned to the other three, and grinned vibrantly once more. "Let's start with Corporal Jigsore, yeah? Nothing gets a crowd goin' like those opening drum beats."

She waited for a moment before having Ian start off the song, however--waited until silence reined over the crowd in the wake of Chicago Loop's set. And then Ian launched off the beginning drum blasts of Corporal Jigsore Quandary, sped up a good ten times but heavy-hitting as ever. Then Izzie ripped down the neck of her guitar, joining in the assault with the brutal chords that had become so infamous.

The metalheads in the crowd all but went insane.
