He walked along the bow of the boat, gazing into the water as it was sucked under. Cupid huh? No doubt some prank, pulled by one of his friends. Maybe his parents.. Though he doubted that highly. He wasn't exactly on the greatest terms with them. They wouldn't even send him christmas cards- much less a free vacation. Whatever. I doesn't matter.. Reiner raised his eyes to the approaching island. I'm going to enjoy myself.

They docked in a harbor, tourists pouring off the boat and off towards the white-sand beach. "San Valentine awaits ladies and gentlemen, We hope you enjoy your stay." He shouldered his bags and disembarked. The sun felt nice, and the air was fresh. He swore he could hear someone playing music. Reiner sighed, stretching, and eyed the town before him. Now what? He searched his bag for the letter. Is there a guide? Or am I just supposed to find my own place? ... No such luck. The envelope was blank, and held nothing except for his ticket and the invitation. He pulled out the letter, reading it again, and flipped it over in his hands. Who the fuck is this Cupid person? I thought I'd at least find them waiting when I arrived... He glanced around. Something caught his eye.

... A piece of stationary. Just like the one he held. No mistaking that ugly pink paper. "Hey..." Reiner made his way over to the guy (Matthew), waving his own letter casually. "You got one too huh?" His eyes roamed slowly over the guy's face. Not bad. "Know where I might go from here?"
