Meridian's attention was diverted from her conversation with Audrey and Emilio when she heard a cracking noise. She turned and couldn't hide her surprise as she saw a few raw minerals come up from the ground. How who could have done that? She looked back at Damien and could feel power radiating from him and figured he was responsible for that. Before she knew it, Damien had gotten up and retrieved what looked to be a letter of some sort. She heard what he had to say and felt a blush coming on for some reason, but quickly controlled it. Now wasn't the time to act like a silly teenager. She could handle this. Well that was easier said than done. She had loads of social experience, but as far as the art of flirtation or any other means of attracting a mate, she was still unpracticed. Oh sure, her mother taught her proper protocol, but it was totally different when doing it in real life.

"It seems the pairings have been made. Would you two like to go see who you are paired up with? Excuse me." Meridian said to Emilio and Audrey before approaching Damien.

"Damien, I know we just met, but I sure hope we'll get the chance to know each other and get along at the very least." she replied.

She figured in this situation, honesty was the best path.
