Little had changed for men like Hans Koopmann after the war, his rank and status within the SS had afforded him certain liberties, and his association with the Soviet Union and other governments assured him safe passage between the Allied, Soviet and America zones throughout occupied Austria.

Hans had been commissioned by the German high command, now under secret allegiance to the Soviet Union, to hunt down German deserters. His secondary obligation was to track down all Germans guilty of treason, particularly those who lend assistance to the Allied forces.

All of this was mere pretense, Hans didn't care to waste his time tracking down children and old men, his appointed duties simply served to give him access and free range across all occupied zones.

Hans Koopmann (Niclas Elberich) had recently secured a lead concerning a particular item which had been smuggled out of Germany and to points unknown.

This lead will take Hans all the way to America.
