The reanimated Jess was standing with Nathan and White-Owl, who had transformed back into full human form. The two braves who had accompanied him were still walking away when Jess stepped forward.

Nathan and White-Owl both focused on Jess thinking he was about to speak, but instead Jess looked up toward the sky in silence. Nathan turned his head as White-Owl turned his entire body, the two now gazing upward. Suddenly, from out of the sun there came another arrow, this one hitting the ground at Nathan's feet.

The three of them watched the arrow as it fell to the earth, after the arrow landed they all looked at one another.

Jess warned Nathan. "You will be killed if we do not defeat him." Looking directly at White-Owl when he referred to him.

By this time White-Owl called for one of his braves to turn back and rejoin him, just in case Jess and Nathan offered up a challenge. Though many had challenged White-Owl and had defeated some of his braves in the past, no one had ever succeeded in defeating White-Owl himself.

Jess continued, "Nathan! Your have two choices, be slaughtered or join me and fight them. Although changed, you will be alive."
