When Ai left, Mikuo glanced about the room, the many stuffed animals and posters making him uncomfortable. It felt like they were staring at him, but that was probably just him being paranoid. He certainly wasn't sure what to make of Ai's supposed cat obsession. Was that connected with Ai liking him? Or was it just Ai being...well, Ai? There was really no other way to describe the kid.
He couldn't help but feel that all this kindness was undeserved though. He hadn't done anything to deserve it, and he wasn't sure what to think of the idea that the Rabbit (or anyone, really) truly cared enough for him to do this anyway.
He had always been told that no one would ever care for him.
Sitting here though, in Ai's room...he was starting to doubt that theory.
