The man pulled Ashley to her feet and wrapped his hand around her neck. He lifted her head with his thumb, and seemed to examine her neck. She knew better than to struggle. "Hmm," he muttered, letting go of her neck,and in stead grabbing her wrists. After a moment, he let go and stepped back.
"Drink this, now," he ordered, throwing a glass bottle at her feet. Ashley picked it up and looked at it suspiciously. Was he a monster? Had he just saved her, to kill her with this? He didn't look like a monster,but then again, she didn't even know what monsters looked like. "What is it?" she asked, her eyes narrowing.
