"Ungh. " He groaned back to her, still not quite awake yet. He never understood how people could be so ready to go in the morning. In order to wake up, he had a routine. But now that he was out in the wilderness with a bunch of people he didn't know, that would have to be put off a bit. When his eyes adjusted, he looked back to the sunrise, still squinting slightly only because his eyelids were still heavy from sleep. All the years of resisting the sweet taste of coffee paid off... He wouldn't have a headache later in the day because he didn't have any.
