"Intimidation tactics don't work on me," The Hunter hissed, her voice low enough to be gender-neutral. "The only thing you've done is proven yourself a liar." His immediate shift to aggression and threats as soon as she stood up had only convinced her of his duplicity. After all, if he had really meant what he was saying, he wouldn't have been deterred by mere silence and preparation - such things were natural actions of the skeptical on Ralfar. As she spoke, she took a single step backward, and the whirring grew louder. In an instant, dozens of blades suddenly protruded from the inside of her jacket, making the Demoness look something like a reversed pincushion. The whirring reached a fever pitch, and the Demon snarled only two words.
"Die, faker."
With that, the blades tore forth in a hailstorm of steel, raining toward their target, as well as going above and below him. Given the narrow nature of the alley, evading the concentrated shower of assorted weaponry would be out of the question, and it was doubtful that the guard would be able to deflect some of the heavy weapons - including claymores and spears, and so forth - flying at him, with a mere rapier. Topping this off, the airship docks were far enough from the Ace of Spades that his familiar wouldn't arrive in time to aid him. He would have to pull out some of his prided magic if he wanted to survive, and even that might not have been enough to get him off unscathed. The Hunter had imbued each weapon with a small amount of Youki. Individually, they wouldn't have been problematic for even the weakest magical barrier. However, with all of them flying at him at once, unless he expended a great deal of power spread over a large area, his shield might break, leaving him helpless. Either way, it would show the Hunter the specifications of his power, not to mention giving her a distraction. While he dealt with her weaponry, she leaped up onto a balcony overlooking the alleyway and, summoning the cross spear she had used before - a preferred weapon of hers known as Gungnir - imbued it with a large, concentrated burst of Youki, hurling it down at the man's head. When it struck something - be it flesh, steel, or magic - it would explode, hopefully damaging the guard, either with its blast or with its shrapnel. Even if it didn't however, it would still distract him long enough for the Hunter to make a quick getaway. Smirking beneath the fox-like mask she wore, the Demon leaped further upward, landing on the room of the building that formed the wall of the alley. That should have disuaded him from following her. Even if not, it still gave her a head start.
