Jenny sat on the squeaky leather seats of the stretch jaguar that had picked her and Aurora Up from the army base they'd been detained on for the past 92 hours.Â
Her life had been turned upside and shaken till there was nothing left but her. The only thing that linked her to her previous home was the mysterious girl seated beside her. The one she *thought *she knew.
Tucking a strand of rich red hair behind her ear she stared out of the window as the tires of the car hit gravel. A magnificent building stood amongst finely trimmed lawns and woodland like a sanctuary tucked away by nature. She could make out others walking about the grounds. It enhanced her nerves.Â
The car came to a halt. Without further instruction the both of them sat in silence for a moment. Jenny glanced at Aurora for a little guidance before she opened her car door and got out. Back at the army base they had explained how the two of them would be staying at a special boarding school out in the country for a while...to protect them both. It all sounded so complicated and surreal at the time but now it was more surreal than anything else.
They'd been checked. Clothes and baggage had been sent but she didn't know if it was her things or just items the army had prepared. Looking to Aurora she waited for the girl to make the next move on where they should go. No doubt she'd been listening more than Jenny had. She'd seemed calm enough throughout the entire thing.Â
