Slowly, Angel pulled her hand from Battle's fur and sat back, thinking on her own past. Without hesitation, she lay her head on Cody's shoulder and rested her arm against his. Words didn't carry the comfort he needed, so all she could do was sit and listen, either for more words or for silence. Either way, she was here until he asked her to leave, just like she was here for the others. Closing her eyes, she touched the side of her leg to Battle, and put her other arm across her lap. For better or worse, she was here, and there were people, creatures, animals, BEINGS all around her. She might feel uncomfortable now, but she knew she would grow used to the close quarters.
