"Yes, it was real, and don't think that just because there isn't a hole through your chest right now means there isn't a high possibility of there being one present ten seconds from now."
She paused, watching the boy for a moment as if considering something before she spoke again. "Akimi." she knelt down and picked up her jacket, which was still balled up on the ground, and pulled it on.
Brushing dirt and dead leaves from the dark fabric, Akimi kept a close eye on Jason as she stood up again, a small shiver passing through her as an icy breeze blew through the park. The wind caused Akimi's red hair, bright in the moonlight, to billow out behind her; the moonlight on her bright hair made it look like blood, broken streams and rivulets caught in the air for just that moment.
