Seb made a small motion with his neck, sending the stray lock dangling in his face scurrying away, back to the safety behind his ear. Then he grinned pleasantly, which seemed almost eerie. Like a grinning cat, something one doesn't see very often. It was a natural enough look, but smiles just didn't fit Seb's face right. "Ouch, sweetheart, your sarcasm's stinging." He spoke in response to the statement, the one chased by a glare. She was so amusing when she looked angry. He stretched his arms indifferently. His spine popped a few times, complaining of the time he'd spent curled up or hunched over.

Amber eyes flicked over Monsowa's face and he lifted an eyebrow slightly, his grin fading one one side, leaving it lopsided. He took a few measured steps forward, his gaze flicking to the knife buried in the trunk of the tree. He considered his answers for a second, his expression waning sardonic before going stony again. He met her face again and deadpanned.

"There's a simple answer, Ladybug, if only you'd open your eyes and see it." he leaned against a tree, fingering the rough pattern of the bark delicately. "It's not me, it's you." he flashed a grin before dropping it easily. "Have you ever considered that perhaps your strings are the only ones I bother to tug because your reactions are so damn funny?" He was walking again now, nonchalantly towards the tree bearing the knife. He gently eased it out of the poor bark-covered being, using two fingers against the trunk to create pressure so he'd not have to exert himself.

Seb's fingers were nearly a blur as he spun the weapon expertly around on his finger, not touching the wasp-sting blade. He knew Lindsey prided herself on how sharp her weapon was and how well she could use it, which was the only reason he was messing with it now. He glanced at her, flicking his wrist in an off-handed motion; sending the blade right back into the tree he'd so carefully removed it from.

"You should be honored that I talk to you, Ladybug, I don't bother with any of the others." he shot her a devilish look as he deliberately turned his back on her to walk back to his tree, the one he'd been leaning on. Ladybug, he liked that nickname, perhaps he'd apply it permanently to the little lady, rather than using Scarlett, so unoriginal. He was no Rhett, so why call her that? Ladybug was true too. She was red with anger, and little. And a lady, oh, he shouldn't forget that. And she was irritating but harmless just like a little ladybird. Perfection. Seb was amused with his creative genius.
