Flandre ran through the streets. She didn't exactly know where to go, however, the Dhampir would obviously give out a strong dark aura. Flandre closed her eyes and tried to sense such. Specs of magic use seemed to be here and there, but she could feel more dark power, quite far away. Likely a battle taking place. Flandre knew she couldn't do it on foot. She ran to the nearest Chevalier, patrolling the streets on a horse.
"Sir Woodrow, I must borrow your steed," she said, running up to him. The Chevalier looked at her for a second, but then asked, "And why do you need it, Miss Flanders?" Miss Flanders was always easier to say then Miss Mistus. "Because," she told him, "Crowly OliviΓ©r has just escaped from us, and he's got a hostage. He's a Dhampir, so he's obviously fast." The Chevalier looked down at the other one for a second, trying to decide what to do. This Chevalier was a rank higher than he was, despite being younger than he was, a child, a female, and a witch. "Do the others know about this?" he asked. Normally, one would have tons of backup. "Yes, they are chasing him down as we speak," she lied. The chevalier got off the horse and let her get on it. Thankfully, horseback riding was part of her training. Just as she was about to get going, she saw a white dog run up to the horse, sniff the air a bit, and look up at her. He spoke, saying Maximillian van Eyck sent him. Obviously an enchanted dog. Flandre noticed his collar. This dog must have been his Familiar. Flandre had a Familiar once, an owl, who's feathers were like the snowy ground in a forest of pine trees, named Serenade. Flandre had left her in her family's care ever since she joined the Service. They wouldn't allow her to bring it, considering they were streching a bunch of other things just to let her join. Flandre didn't need a Familiar too much anyway, considering she only used Mana, and she finished learning the magical arts. Flandre could still summon her at any time.
The dog led Flandre toward the Dhampir. It was very good at going at the same speed as the horse, staying on front. It was easier with a dog guiding you by scent, so you know the exact path the person took, and magic builds tension in the air, so all you get is a general location, and you can't know for certain what it is, it's kind of more like intuition. At some point however, Flandre stopped, hearing the sounds of battle. The dog was confused and asked her why they stopped, but Flandre just signaled him to stay in one place and stay quiet. Hiding behind bushes, she crept up to what seemed to be a battle.
The Dhampir was up against a couple men armed with rifles. Black Horizon. They were pretty much the reason why Flandre's night tonight was horrible, considering it looked like Crowly worked for them. Weapon in hand, she was ready to fight. She took the silver head of her weapon and screwed it off. Now she had a quarter staff and a mini-fork, two weapons. At that, she charged quietly. Trying to avoid the golem, she ran at the first gunner, stabbing him in the back with the fork. she came that the next guy and started beating him with the staff, and knocked the next guy in the head with it while doing so. A forth guy charged at him with a knife, but Flandre stabbed him in the stomach with the silver fork. Then came the golem. The golem tried punching down into the ground to flatten here, but she dodged at the last second.
The golem tried swinging a few punches at her, but she kept dodging. How was she going to kill this?
