Mal had been sitting on that boulder, puffing on his cigarette and counting the moments. He heard some scratching noises and pebbles falling, but he knew what it was. He took a few more puffs and took in the scene around him. Most people called the world a barren wasteland. But, to Mal, it was absolutely beautiful. Everything in life is beautiful. "Hey...thanks out there...You really saved me..." Lola then walked over and sat down right next to him. Without even looking at her, he spoke. "What took you so long?" he said casually as he took another drag and pulled out two Nuka Cola bottles and placed one next to her. "Don't mention it." He knew she wouldn't sit still like a damsel in distress, she was tougher than that. Well, at least she needed herself to be tougher than that. This girl won't stop pushing herself. After a few moments a smile cracked and a low chuckle came from his throat. "No, but anyway. Those Nightkin are people who don't know how to fend for themselves and don't know how to survive. To me, those Nightkin are just like Raiders, but not all of them are like that. But, you right about one thing." He turned and looked out at the rolling hills of dirt and the moon and the stars. "This place is beautiful." he stopped for a moment and listened to the wind.
