It was a sunny day out but it was too bad she couldn't spend any of her time outside, drinking in the warm rays while laying on a towel in the yard or something. Addison gave a sigh as she thought this, her aqua eyes annoyed with her condition. She had been coming into the hospital on a daily basis for regular check ups, especially since she started the new medication research study she had agreed to become a part of, but
now they wanted to change her
doctor.
She understood that Doctor Doyle was old and all but did he really have to retire? The teen had grown fond of him in the years she had known him and he'd been someone she could always confide in but, now, even that seemed to be leaving her.
Addy shook out her long blonde curls and pushed them over her shoulders to cascade down her back, her curled bangs falling into her eyes slightly as she did so. She blew out a breath of air in frustration, tapping her foot on the ground as she shifted on the hard plastic chair. She was waiting for someone to call her and she hoped it would be soon, after all.. They were running 15 minutes late as it was and Addison wasn't exactly
too bothered by this as she pulled her
Blackberry Bold from her jacket pocket and checked for messages.
" Addison King?" A nearby voice asked, practically in front of her, and the teen looked up as she replaced her cellphone into her pocket. Addy gave a nod, " Yes, that's me." The nurse, as it turned out, beckoned for the younger girl to follow and lead her to her usual hospital room. Her parents were closely linked to the hospital and had arranged for this one room to pretty much be Addison's whenever she came by. This is where she usually had her check ups done.
" The doctor will be with you shortly, he's just finishing with another patient." The nurse said as she slid the door open and then left Addison to her own devices, quite literally too.
The blonde heaved a sigh as she stepped into the room and sat on the comfortable white chair, taking off her shoes before curling her feet under herself and pulling out her phone to play a game while she waited. She hoped it wouldn't be much longer.
