"Hey mom! Hey dad!" she said as she released Thomas' hand and gave her mother a hug. Her father held a hand for Thomas to shake. As they shook hands Mr.Scarborough had a strong grip. "Come in! Come in! I just made a fresh batch of cookies, chocolate chip, your favorite!" Mrs.Scarborough said as they walked inside. Charlotte slipped off her shoes and walked into the all too familiar home. She held Thomas' hand as they walked into the living room. Charlotte walked up to the fire mantel and picked up an old family portrait. She laughed as she showed it to Thomas, "This was when I was 5, I had the worst hair cut ever!" She didn't look that much different, she was still young and beautiful. She put the picture down as they walked into the kitchen where her father was sitting at the table and mother was getting the cookies onto a plate. Thomas went to the table as Charlotte went to her fridge. She poured 4 glasses of milk into cups and one into a bowl. Her parents had a cat, her name Roxxy. Her mother and herself looked so alike. They had the same eyes and nose, even the same hair color. As they all sat down, Charlotte cleared her throat to get everyone's attention. "We have an announcement.." She said as she looked at Thomas.
